Joe Pascual, co-founder of Dotstudioz, has lead four development teams around the world (India, Macedonia, Minsk, and Vancouver, B.C.). He has worked with countless companies in the entertainment and technology sectors, pulling together and re-purposing a range of open-source technologies. Fluent in five languages, Pascual has spent the last few years developing not only a SaaS solution for the entertainment industry but also groundbreaking post-production workflows with his first company, Deep Sky Digital. Pascual’s credits include being lead project manager on multi-media campaigns for the likes of NetZero and serving as supervising editor and post production supervisor with clients ranging from MTV, Academy Award-winning Drac Studios, Style Networks and Screen Gems. With 30 years of experience in the entertainment Industry, Pascual’s international background spans three continents and multiple cultures. His dedication to producing quality work has been recognized by his peers and colleagues alike, pushing him to hone a skill set that’s consistently ahead of the curve. Pascual is currently CEO and head of product development.
Phoenix Gonzalez
Co-Founder/Owner/Head of Brand Integration
Phoenix Gonzalez, co-founder of Dotstudioz, has lead the company’s efforts to further relationships within the entertainment and investment worlds. Having managed multiple aspects of company operations, she has been able to put the company in front of the likes of Sony, UTA, NMA Group, Generate LA, ICM, Lions Gate, Warner Brothers, Gary Croft Partners, Idea Lab, Bender Helper and Associates, Avid Life Media, and Pacifica Ventures. With a background in marketing and brand integration, Gonzalez has worked with companies like Bare Escentuals, Wen, BET, Cinemax /HBO and Victoria’s Secret, to name just a few. With over 12 years’ experience in the entertainment industry, this native of Toronto brings an eclectic range of experience and expertise to the table. Gonzalez is currently head of business development and brand integration for the digital properties that her company is working on.
Selena Paskalidis
Owner/Head of Financing and Marketing
Selena Paskalidis has extensive experience in the development, financing, and marketing of feature films, television and new media. Over the past few years she has worked on high profile series such as “Cold Squad” (CTV & Alliance Atlantis), “Godivas” (CHUM, CityTV, Bravo & Fremantle Media) and “Peak Season” (MTV, CTV, MTV International & VH1). One of her most successful projects to date was the management and production of Eat St. an iPhone application that locates food cart vendors across North America. As a companion to the television series “Eat St.” on Food Network Canada and the Cooking Channel in the US, the app has been featured in “Tech Crunch” and was the #1 app in the US for over two months, reaching 100,000 users within two weeks of its launch. Paskalidis is currently head of financing and marketing for the company, where she oversees strategy planning and capital investments.
Rick Tae
Owner/Head Content Development
Rick Tae has created, developed, produced, and written feature films, shorts, web series, and TV series packages currently in multiple levels of development, production, and distribution. Primarily a producer/writer, Rick is the head of creative of Dotstudioz, where he focuses on producing signature commercial and niche projects for a growing global market. Tae also served as the director of media and publicity for the Vancouver Asian Film Festival (VAFF) and has served as assistant to A-list industry executives, notably producer and filmmaker Roland Emmerich, who shot principal photography in Vancouver for Sony Pictures’ worldwide blockbuster 2012. With over 15 years of experience in the entertainment industry, Tae is head of content development and production of the company’s digital properties.
Courtneay Newton
Trend Watcher/Brand Integration
Courtneay Newton, Brand Integration Specialist and Trend Watcher at Dotstudioz, has worked with the company and its founders over the last few years monitoring market trends and furthering the companies relationships in the Brand world. With over 12 years experience in the Television, Film and Online Entertainment, Courtneay has worked with Studio 600 Productions, WWJ-TV CBS, was the Director of Production for Black Civilization Television (BCTV) an Interactive television network, On the Hush Ent, IVCTV.NET and Dreamkworks Animation, SKG. This native Detroiter’s background in entertainment has become a valuable asset to the Dotstudioz team, where she places her focus on keeping the company up to date on all aspects on emerging online technologies and brand integration trends.
